Must haves: Pack and rolling duffel!
One of the first challenges of Peace Corps is deciding how to fit 2 years worth of stuff into 80 pounds. Here is my packing list and hopefully it helps. I made it right under 80 lbs, and I recommend going light on the clothes if you are going to Central America because there are a ton of second hand shops here selling used american clothes. And yes, I'm a freak and color coded my packing list in Excel.

Thanks for posting! I am scheduled for staging in March 2013 for Nicaragua so your blog is really helpful. Question: Are you required to take antimalarials there?

No, they provide those along with every other medicine you can think of so no need to pack any! Are you health or business?

This is the best list I have ever seen! I am leaving August 2013. Is there anything you wish you had/hadn't packed?

I am leaving for Nica in five weeks, and currently putting stuff together. Your list is very helpful, but do you have any updates / things you wish you had brought / things you wish you had not brought?

Thanks
