More wag, less bark. I'm a twenty something do gooder just trying to make a positive impact in this crazy world. Currently, I'm doing my best to do that while living and working in Nicaragua as a Peace Corps Volunteer. My sector is health education with a focus in maternal child health and nutrition. My professional and academic background is in non-profit work, international development, and global health.

Too cute for words, right?
On the personal side, I enjoy cooking but prefer baking, hiking, swimming, hanging with friends and family and absolutely anything that involves baby animals except eating them. On the flip-side, I despise spiders especially tarantulas, scorpions, mosquitoes, racism, sexism, and materialism.

Please enjoy my ramblings about my experience in the Peace Corps and Nicaragua. Hopefully, you gain insight from them or maybe even some inspiration to do something for the greater good of humanity.

I apologize in advance for all references made to missing my pair of adorable dogs, Bruin and Dexter.

Saludos,

Cherrie

P.S.
Expect lots of photos of my Nicaraguan baby, Risa.

Dear Cherrie,
Hello my name is Caelan Simeone, and I am currently a student at the University of Montana. This summer I am traveling to Nicaragua for a class and then spending the rest of the summer, June 15- August 18 in the country. I am looking for a place to do volunteer work for a portion of this time. I know that you are currently station in Nicaragua and I was wondering if you or another volunteer you knew would like any help on your projects. I am most interested in conservation, but anything I could do to help would be great. Thanks for you help.
Sincerely,
Caelan Simeone.
